Initially the typeface was inspired by the product of organic decay. I cut out strawberries, apples and tomatoes in the shape of letters and left them to decay on a sheet of paper. When removing them, they left an interesting stained mark on the paper which I used as my basis for the letter forms. Latterly I have used the typeface "Hobo Std" as inspiration because of it's curvaceous body and similarity to the remaining marks of the fruit and vegetables. It is a display font having because of it's better readability on larger sizes. This due to the stained effect as well as the letters are bold. I've never seen such a font and I decided i was going to make my own.
