I started by looking at the decaying buildings, working from photographs of tired brick and worn surfaces. I made some rubbings from text on the side of a building and this is what the main font outline is based on. I wanted to create a worn font, with an almost burnt texture to replicate the worn and disintegrating buildings I started with. The type is based on the word decay. Before creating the font i looked at different forms of decay and decided to base this particular font on tooth decaythis%20is%20my%20first%20Fontstruction%20and%20was%20set%20as%20a%20project%20within%20my%20graphics%20cause.%20The%20type%20is%20based%20on%20the%20word%20decay.%20Before%20creating%20the%20font%20i%20looked%20at%20different%20forms%20of%20decay%20and%20decided%20to%20base%20this%20particular%20font%20on%20tooth%20decay
