Similar programs, such as Apple's Lisa/Macintosh interface and Microsoft Windows, were all 'inspired' by the groundbreaking work at Xerox PARC Labs in the 1970s. Used primarily with CP/M operating systems as well as a series of Atari ST computers, later versions also ran on top of MS-DOS. This font is from GEM version 3.13 (April 14, 1989) for MS-DOS, and includes lots of DOS and Windows characters...%22Graphic%20Environment%20Manager%20%2F%20GEM%22%20was%20a%20GUI%20developed%20by%20Digital%20Research%20Inc.%20%20Similar%20programs%2C%20such%20as%20Apple%27s%20Lisa%2FMacintosh%20interface%20and%20Microsoft%20Windows%2C%20were%20all%20%27inspired%27%20by%20the%20groundbreaking%20work%20at%20Xerox%20PARC%20Labs%20in%20the%201970s.%20%20Used%20primarily%20with%20CP%2FM%20operating%20systems%20as%20well%20as%20a%20series%20of%20Atari%20ST%20computers%2C%20later%20versions%20also%20ran%20on%20top%20of%20MS-DOS.%20%20This%20font%20is%20from%20GEM%20version%203.13%20%28April%2014%2C%201989%29%20for%20MS-DOS%2C%20and%20includes%20lots%20of%20DOS%20and%20Windows%20characters...

4 downloads4%20downloads4190 glyphs190%20glyphs190A favorite of 1 userA%20favorite%20of%201%20user1Here's a throwback and a tribute to the old scoreboards of Dodger Stadium and the Astrodome.

The main alphabet, numbers, and some of the punctuation (the period, the apostrophe, and the T-shaped ampersand) are accurate to the original dot-matrix displays. However, much of the punctuation had to be improvised (there is no evidence of a question mark or comma being used on these scoreboards), as are the accented characters.Here%27s%20a%20throwback%20and%20a%20tribute%20to%20the%20old%20scoreboards%20of%20Dodger%20Stadium%20and%20the%20Astrodome.%0D%0A%0D%0AThe%20main%20alphabet%2C%20numbers%2C%20and%20some%20of%20the%20punctuation%20%28the%20period%2C%20the%20apostrophe%2C%20and%20the%20T-shaped%20ampersand%29%20are%20accurate%20to%20the%20original%20dot-matrix%20displays.%20%20However%2C%20much%20of%20the%20punctuation%20had%20to%20be%20improvised%20%28there%20is%20no%20evidence%20of%20a%20question%20mark%20or%20comma%20being%20used%20on%20these%20scoreboards%29%2C%20as%20are%20the%20accented%20characters.
