This typeface is as cool as it sounds. It has a total of 46 glyphs and each one is awesome. It was made for Big Time Arcade and after years of begging we are releasing it to the public. I hope you all enjoy it and make sure you leave comments to tell us how it could be improved, if that is even possible.
Recreation of the pixel font from Tatsumi's "Big Fight: Big Trouble in the Atlantic Ocean" (1992).
The tile set contains a full set of hiragana and katakana, but as the game does not use them (with the exception of the CJK quotation marks U+300C and U+300D, which are used - confusingly - to quote english dialogue in the end cinematic), these have not been added here.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
A small and condensed pixel font which uses a combination of techniques from designs like Marengi Mk2, Micro Machina, and Mncrft. The spacing, along with many glyphs, is experimental and defies my usual conventions.
Recreation of the pixel font from Adrenalin Entertainment/Playmates Interactive Entertainment's "Doom Troopers - The Mutant Chronicles" (1995) on the SNES and Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the pixel font from Capcom's "Goof Troop: Pirate Island Adventure" (1993) on the SNES.
This recreation uses the special TTF+SVG format, which currently has limited support. For a monochrome version, see this recreation.
The font includes an almost complete set of hiragana and katakana characters. In the tile set, the dakuten and handakuten are separate tiles, positioned in a line above their respective character. In this recreation, characters that use them are pre-combined into a single glyph.

This font is also used for the credits on the ZX Spectrum version, but otherwise a fatter version is used anywhere else in the game.
