This is a remix of my most popular font, Sector 017, but this time it's clean and simple, only leaving random cuts and angles here and there. Still, it's a super-duper-techno-futuristic font. A loooong time ago someone asked me to do a version without the famous eroded pattern. So I created this FontStruction and I've been working on it for... more than a year. Why so long? LOL I DUNNO. Similar version is visible in many designs of TAMRECORDS (a Russian neurofunk record label) and the credit goes to Pixel Junglist, an Ukrainian artist who is responsible for their artworks (I guess he is...). He remixed the original Sector 017 as well, I think I've just made his job much easier :). There are "Basic Latin" and "More Latin" character sets available +Polish and Cyrillic characters. Take a look here: http://www.behance.net/gallery/TAMRECORDS/568101 It doesn't mean that I'm not going to rig up a nice sample pic. It's gonna be at least about 20% cooler than the one I made for Sector 017. Publishing this one day after my birthday, ahh, I wanted some stars and hearts as a present from you :P. For me, this is one of my best creations I've ever done. I think it came out really not bad, the production was delightful, so I'm thinking about expanding the character set, if I'll find some time. Wide, fat, blocky and simple-shaped. Lowercase and uppercase basically don't differ, but some characters have various sizes here and there, usual to obtain clearer look for logotypes, to fit some letters with each other. G - G sinking in stripes, water H - sparkling I - cut by a knife J - error K - look at the shape of K - it's an arrow and it's flying towards itself L - pixels, glass, pixel glass M - Sector-ish N - sunset O - rectangle test, something like DirectX benchmark P - sawtooth Q - accent on the tail R - blown by wind S - fizzy T - tribal U - pixel art? V - outline W - something... X - a wrench X - diagonal stripes Z - shiny 0 - growing diagonal stripes 1 - Chinese window 2 - gradient lightening 3 - retro-striped version of 2 4 - dotty 5 - gradient darkening 6 - sharp thing 7 - checker 8 - blurry 9 - blurry inversed and with squares ? - parquet ! - rounded piano or whatever .,' and " - the most beautiful - completely blackThu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Neuroszajbahttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/neuroszajbahttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/374044
There will be no description except: Push zoom slider to the max. Why? Problems with "hand made" sample and frustration after all. Basically that was the reason. I cut out some of the letters (a phrase: "Working hard") with a knife in a bunch of different materials like cloth, paper, leather, plastic, even in sliced cheese, everything on a contour... And I lost the outcomes :|. I don't know where I put them. Yeah, I lost them about 2 days ago, I could make another cut-out letters, but those were perfect, I was so happy with them, but I had no afflation to make new ones. When I'll find them I'll show them up here. The "N" made from cheese was lying in the fridge so far (for an obvious reason)... I was really hungry, and a sandwich without cheese is no more a sandwich. It looks too "techno-ish" to be published without a photograph of the font in a real life. Kids love it (or love to smear it everywhere they can). Plastelina is the same thing as Plasticine, but we don't use it as a brand name in Poland. I hope I've counted the height properly... And I hope they didn't mean "height over the baseline" or "height of the whole fontstruction"... All characters are lowercase, except for "a" and "l" because it didn't look very well. My first entry out of 3. What a great combo - handmade looking face and handmade sample! It's my second font for the Handmade Competition. Clone of http://fontstruct.fontshop.com/fontstructions/show/375271. EDIT: I'm going to keep this font, even though I have found Rob's comment about a height limit in the post on the competition. He said that the height limit refers to characters not to the font, so my concerns didn't confirm. There are no holes except for crosses in this font. Use lowercase as a "manual kerning", you know, to keep the spacing between letters always the same, wow, I am an inventor. A nice suprise was of no errors in the compiled font like displaced bricks or sth. HAET is a mix between phrases "HATE" and "HEAT". You are welcome to download, example pic tomorrow, I gotta watch my fav program in TV called "Daleko od noszy" which means that I'm really busy to open up Photoshop and write some black letters on yellow background. It looks much better as a .ttf. Yeah, I know it's so lo-res, but on my current computer I could not make more detailed font. Someday I will make a 100-200 square high remix. The font from the word "Fury" in game's logotype was my inspiration. Without these new functions like "Make Composite" or "Rotate" I wouldn't be able to complete the italics that came out nice. I'm very glad of the final effect. The second "released" FS from LDR series. LDR#3 looks good in big size. Lowercase letters have wider spacing, so the font ins more flexible in usage. And I've put in some "stencil", do ya see, do ya see? I hope you'll enjoy.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Microfuturehttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/microfuturehttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/325799
Hardcore modular FS in 25 minutes. It's late, so i'll fill the description box tomorrow. I will make component of any glyph to make the flash preview more readable. I believe that even 1x1 font made out of 2x2 componets is still 2x2, so converting don't make any further differences. Damn. Almost stencil. Almost because of "0" and "&"... Is this any achievement? To make font more universal? 2x2 and monospacing - isn't it enough :D? NE - there's a challenge for you!
