It has some Art-Nouveau influences, featuring contrasting bowl sizes, and sharp diagonal lines juxtaposed against flowing curves. When I began working on it in FontStruct however, I wasn't able to render its sinuous lines as I had first imagined. It evolved, becoming squared and angular, taking on a more Gothic feel; although, this suits its name. The title comes from "Ribbons of Baroque Ecstasy" is the name of a collection of works by English architect Neil Spiller, who advocates a return towards Gothicism, and away from bland Modernism and schizophrenic Post-Modernism.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000
