Nearly all angles are 1:8 for the horizontals and 1:4 for the verticals. 28 grid squares from the lowest point to the highest across the set. For reference, the lower case 'o' is 11 squares wide and 13 squares tall. Each character has a 1 or 2 block overlap on the right side to make the connectors touch the next character.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Uptake Alternateshttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/uptake_alternateshttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/751431
A set of alternates for Uptake. The majority are lowercase, but there are a couple uppercase ('G' and 'W'). There are two alternate versions of 'a'; one on the "A" character and one on the "a" character. There are also two alternate versions of 'w'; one on the "v" character and one on the "w" character. The '@' is slightly modified, but the rest of the punctuation is unchanged.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Aurora Lighthttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/aurora_lighthttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/330251
I used a high-resolution grid and lots of FS 2.0 features to create this. The x-height is 132 grid squares. I used many of the new angles enabled by FS 2.0 (1:8, 1:6, 1:4, 1:3, 2:3) in an attempt to create very smooth curves.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Uptakehttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/uptake_1http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/581383
Special thanks to thalamic for reviewing and giving me suggestions for improvements. A modernish sans on a fairly small grid. The x-height is 7 grid squares, the cap height is 9 grid squares, and the ascenders & descenders on the lowercase go to 10 grid squares. All natural curves, mainly using the macaroni bricks.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Omithttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/omit_1http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/712762
Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Rakedhttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/rakedhttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/602684
Filter 2:2 The large, rounded corners are the standard macaroni bricks. The tight, rounded corners are made of several several composites and stacked brick combinations. This allows a curve that flows straight into an angle (1:4 in this case). I did not discover this "smooth tight curve to angle" trick. I stole it from Geneus1...thanks!Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Evityhttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/evityhttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/397919
2 x 2 filter with lots of compositing and stacking.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Techdingshttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/techdingshttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/475336
Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Likeahttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/likeahttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/447797
All of the curves are "real" curves using the curved bricks. Using 2x2 filters, - The x-height is 8 grid squares. - The cap height is is 11 grid sqaures. - The descender height is 3 grid squares. - The widths vary, but for reference, the lowercase o is 9 grid squares wide. I also included many ligatures. They are stored in the Extended Latin A character set. The lowercase o is a perfect circle of 4 macaroni bricks. That gives me an x-height of 4 bricks which made some letters a bit difficult...I'm looking at you lowercase s.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Scrawlhttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/scrawl_8http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/376033
An approximation of handwriting using a Sharpie. 2 x 2 filters with lots of composites and stacks.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Pushpinshttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/pushpinshttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/376397
It is supposed to look like pushpins and string. The uppercase contains each glyph with pushpin and string. The lowercase contains just the pushpins to make it easier to change the color of the pins by overlaying. For the numbers, the number contains the pins and string, while SHIFT+number contains just the pins.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Union Newhttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/union_newhttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/325592
Union updated using FS 2.0 features, mainly sharper angles created using the composite feature. A = 1:3 B = 1:4 C = 1:6 D = 1:8 E = 2:3 To create the angles, you have to use the new composite feature. Each letter shows the bricks at the top needed to create the angle piece beneath it. Except for the 2:3, the two middle columns make the angle pieces necessary for the middle part of the 2:3. I will post some screenshots and better explanations tomorrow. I added single dots to the other caps to make sure this font showed up for everyone...I couldn't remember what the minimum number of characters is.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Union New Sanshttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/union_new_sanshttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/327358
Union Sans updated using FS 2.0 features, mainly sharper angles created using the composite feature.
