i started this one a long time ago - the original starter file is dated 9/15/2009. this began as a result of trying to create a different isometric font. after building the framework or scaffolding, i did a few 'A' glyphs, but couldn't go any further. initially, i used square bricks to create the lines, but changed to circle bricks to get a smoother look, although it still looks kind of rough and well...like a cinder block :) it wasn't nearly as bad as i thought it would be to complete, but still challenging. no other versions yet, but maybe...This is a clone

having fun with the new bricks :) not quite unicase and not quite art deco. it feels more mod with the i, j and t adding a retro-atomic-hippie vibe :)

doesn't use anything new, but with all the energy on the site today, i got motivated to finish something :) i guess this is a multi-inline, pseudo-stencil-ish, art deco-ish type of font.

i had the idea for this for a while was previously unsuccessful at digitizing it until i used different bricks - the same circle bricks i have been playing with for a while. when i use the circle bricks, many times it feels like i'm working with some type of sculpting material. similar to Isometric, but now in black :) only uc for now. i used the square bricks to do all the Isometric family fonts, so now i guess i use the circles bricks to do Black Isometric family :)This is a clone

a remix of Mitered which, as neurone error observed, was a remix of Soma. didn't start out that way, but probably is similar due to the nature of the bricks :)This is a clone

prototype for a family of fret fonts. this has been done before, but i wanted to try one. since there are so many chords, it is necessary to split according to logical groups. this is the first (AB), there will also be CD and EF. lower chords in lc and higher chords in uc. i think this organization will work, but if there are any guitar players, let me know what you think :)This is a clone

so it turns out that this was the start of the Basic Black family. this has grown into a large family which takes advantage of one of Fontstruct's great features - the ability to ornament fonts quite easily by applying/using the many bricks in different patterns - of course :)
this has been fun. beyond an exercise in creating different version of one font, i will probably only release these for a limited time. once i update the other versions with the numbers from here and maybe a few more punctuation marks, i will... well lets wait and see :)This is a clone

what is this thing? just something i felt like finishing up. the first few glyphs made me think of dinosaurs with the ridges and eyes, somehow they got wheels and therefore the caddy. sideshow came in with the oddness of it all. well anyway, just trying to have a little fun :) i think this is showing some neurone error influences.

this dot font suffers from being a little too ambition:) as a result, a few of the glyphs have inconsistent heights. however i do think it sort of works with the overall style of the font - retro, maybe 60s or 70s. although this is the original file, it is not the original version - which was cloned and named Domestic Bliss Serif. this version was modified by removing the end dots from the glyphs, making it a 'sans serif.' i did this mainly just to see what it would look like. doing so resulted in a more open, fresh design.

my first entry in the competition :) it could be considered one of my standard pattern fonts using a soccer ball as the primary element. the ball of kind of tricky to do and is only a representation of the real thing of course.

inspired by Redonda and the other excellent fonts that have been done in this style. this is my first dot font. i searched to see if there were any italics and didn't find any; but they may be hiding here somewhere. started with lc just to see if i could do a basic set. then went for the uc and decided to make it a little more fancy or lyrical, if you will. then one thing led to another and i can't believe i did the whole basic latin :) i thought about waiting to release it, but changed my mind. this was fun and allows for the visualization of curves which really can't be done in FS. but still, i guess it's not like the real thing. oh, well :)

this was inspired by a font sample found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/insect54/2109838957. this was shared by Afrojet when he released his San Serious series. this is from the book 'Fodor Catalogue' designed by Wim Crouwel featuring works by Jurriaan Schrofer. thanks anTyp for providing clarity :)
