Vienna Cafe is a personal interpretation of Art Nouveau stilyzed typefaces and curved, organic Lettering into modular type. I'm still working on this, so feel free to comment how's it going and/or what would you change. And if you've done something similar, or have any tipographic reference, let me know!!! =)

A little beauty. 10/10

You have done well considering the limitations imposed by a small grid. Personally, I would be working on a grid at least 50 squares high to attempt something like this :)

As always, thank u p2pnut.

I have a serious problem: I love limitations. For me, the amazing thing about fontstruct is that you have to find your own way to make a font with just some basic shapes (well, actually, a looooot of basic shapes) and prove how it works on screen. If I had no restrictions at all, I'd never develop anything, and my ideas would still be rough doodles in a notebook, but here ideas become in tools everyone can use and critique to help improving.

I need a challenge. And working at small sizes is something I find pretty interesting. (usually because there's a point, when you have spent half an hour of your time in just one single character, and there are 210 waiting, when you start thinking that maybe you are not that good at this; and that's when you have to remember that how good you are is not important, but what do you have to say, and if that's important and useful for the rest of the people).

So, for me, working at pretty small sizes it's incredibly instructive. I always have to find an alternative way of doing. For many people is right the other way, and That's awesome!! I can't stop seen your work at the gallery thinking ¿how in this world has he done that?. That makes me try even harder. So many thanks for your encouragement and attention in every single thing I've done. Much appreciated.

P.S: If you've actually read all this massive amount of text without batting an eyelid, you deserve heaven. =)

Again, sorry for the quality loss, but I couldn't upload the png. versions of this.

Beauty! Enjoy this little piece of noveau art...
PNG? Actually you could. Well, just need a bit long time. That sucks but worth waiting!

I never have problem with uploading PNG files. No matter how big the file is, fontstruct will automatically convert it into 380x380 pixels, so the best option is to create a sample with just that size (normal resolution 72pixels/inch).

Sorry, 380 pixels wide...The height doesn't have any restrictions.

Nice design. The small grid may not do this as much justice, but the idea comes through. (I also like working in small scales and can relate.)
Excellent samples!

Ok, I'll try to upload this again in the right format. Is just that it took years the first time. Thanks everyone!!!

This can be very useful and a real beauty, as everyone can see in the first sample. But it's also my opinion, those ideas maybe deserve trying a "rework" on a higher gridsize...

All right, all right, you all have convinced me. let's see what I can do in a higher ground ... But I'll take my time. =)

Very rich unexpected and superb junction of bricks. You put the FS system once again on the top! My 10 2U!
