Another design featuring faux-bezier curves ... or, as I prefer to think of them ... curves

Very curvy. Is X too wide? Can we also see lc?
Ok, now for the praise. This is AMAZING. It looks quite professional! 10!

Again, a classic style, with professional curves! 10/10

Very professional looking font again. Maybe Z is a bit too thin, 4 a bit wide, and 7 & ? legs could be more centered.

Thanks all. You have picked up on exactly the characters that I was uncertain about - so now the X is narrower; Z is wider and thicker; 7 and ? more centralised. I was also unsure about the Y and have now made it a bit wider.

No plans for a l/c at the moment - it could look a bit too thick and congested in my opinion.

One more thing... P's outside curves look a bit too square, can that be fixed easily?
Comment by demonics 23rd april 2012
P, R and B now more rounded.

Smooooth.
I don't know what the X was like before, but it seems too compressed to me. Especially in comparison with the likes of V and Z. The Z seems a bit wide though. The comma is awesome. So is the J. And and...well it's all nice.

@Ata: LOL - with all the various angles possible from composites you'd think that it would be easier to find the right one these days. The original X was far too wide and the Z was definitely too narrow - I'll have to do a bit more 'jiggling' and see if I can find a compromise.
Comment by p2pnut 24th april 2012
This is the choice for X - it involves some asymmetry in both.
Comment by p2pnut 24th april 2012
... and this is the choice for Z -

I like the right X and the left Z (not sure if it was like that before, but it's better than the right one).
I still think the leg of 7 could be more in the center, and I would probably add serifs to the bottom, but maybe that's just me.

Nice looking font. I find curves difficult to make with Fontstruct.
Comment by LingoLinda 24th april 2012
Personally I prefer the narrow ones (X and Z). Dear m*ster, that's a very goood font! I like it so much! (Btw, your font can help me very much because I'm working in another serif font just a little bit similar to yours, I add you a sample. The arcs are driving me crazy!). My 10 2 U!

I have gone with the narrower X and Z, but have offset the thinner diagonal of the X to make it a wee bit wider.
Comment by p2pnut 25th april 2012
Could you please add the wider X as an alternate for now. I would like to type out some words in both narrow and wider X to see which works better in words. Please?

The Z seems just the right width now. It's Baby Bear.
Comment by thalamic 25th april 2012
There you go Ata - one alternate X (on the x).
Comment by p2pnut 25th april 2012
I don't know if this X width or angles are possible, but something like this would work better, width-wise. Methinks.

This is good! 10/10
