Just a simple block font that (hopefully) avoids kerning issues.

This font may appear to be simple, Ray, but your customary attention to even the smallest detail proves exactly the opposite. 10/10 from me.

A tool is a tool; craftsmanship is the virtue.

Your virtues are boundless.

I'll let elmoyenique point out the stray bricks (and the missing one).

;-)
Comment by thalamic 24th november 2013
I'm with the boys: You have done a greeeat job here, mast*r! My 10 2U!
PS: About the missing bricks that thalamic saw before, they are in the upper right zone of the Z, z and 7. I've found two stray bricks in the right side of the end in the middle leg of the m and w; and the upper left inner curve of the ß (UC and lc) can be improved a bit. And finally, I've seeing something strange in the accents of the ì and î, too (look at these, please). Hope to be helpful, compañero. It's a beautiful font.
Comment by elmoyenique 24th november 2013
Excellent font, works well at all sizes! More stray bricks at bottom right of y.
Comment by four 24th november 2013
Simple, yet elegant serif face. I very much like the X, &, and ß. The K,V, and Y are also very good for they show strong character. In this context one could find the R and Q comparatively anaemic. You may test a version of R similar to K. Some of the diacritical marks would deserve more attention: acute, grave, circumflex should bear some semblance to the main theme of the font. All in all, this is another great work. I can imagine these letters carved into rock, or forged from iron. 10/10

Congratulations! FontStruct Staff have deemed your FontStruction worthy of special mention. “RM Bloc” is now a Top Pick.

Thank you everyone for your kind words - and elmoyenique for his eagle eyes.

I will be working on the stray bricks etc. and I agree with Frodo7 that I should put a bit more effort into the diacritics (as well as reviewing the Q and R).

It's somewhat ironic that I have attempted a design that doesn't require kerning ... just at the point where I have been bought a copy of FontCreator 7.5 as an early Christmas present :)

Now I'll can go back and sort out all my old fonts.
Comment by p2pnut 26th november 2013
It's actually situational irony. You expect a and get the opposite, -a. Just like a cat chasing a dog. Cool font! p2pnut/10
Comment by Evie Atarax (j4s13) 26th november 2013
Cheers j4s13 :)

I have attempted to tidy up the waifs and strays and have altered the R. However, I can't make my mind up about the Q.

Here are a few alternatives - I'd welcome your views (and any further suggestions).
Comment by p2pnut 26th november 2013
Can you squeeze a little more decender?
Comment by Evie Atarax (j4s13) 26th november 2013
Well … if you're going for opinions, I rather like the middle Q. But like J4s13, I prefer the tail down, as with the J, and might suggest lowering both to the level of the Et's tail? A beautiful design, also. :)
Comment by sarreyn 26th november 2013
...the & is fantastic... I love this foooont!
PS: Be careful with the ¿ glyph because near here there are a lot of lost bricks all together, pal.

And also: p2pnut/10=01110000011001001110000 011011100111010101110100 /10.
Comment by Evie Atarax (j4s13) 26th november 2013
First Q. And I don't think that the N or the M really fit in with the rest of the font for some reason...
Comment by RussianGuy 27th november 2013
how download?
Comment by Aloss 27th november 2013
Thanks everyone. I'll look at these suggestions soon.

@Aloss: The licence is 'All Rights Reserved' which means that it cannot be downloaded ... sorry :(
Comment by p2pnut 27th november 2013
I have gone with a version of j4s13's suggestion - what do you think?

@RussianGuy: I have made a slight change to the M and N.

@elmoyenique: that was just my angles 'toolkit' showing - gone now.
Comment by p2pnut 27th november 2013
Better!
Comment by Evie Atarax (j4s13) 27th november 2013
Excellent. Now just add a little serif at the upper left of M and N.
Comment by RussianGuy 27th november 2013
Well noticed - I had forgotten the serifs.
Comment by p2pnut 27th november 2013
Unfortunately I can not download the font.
Only embedding is possible.
Sad to say I don't know how to do it.
Comment by macossin 3rd december 2013
@macossin: I'm sorry, but I no longer allow most of my fonts to be downloaded. In the past I have had people download my work and then pass it off as their own on various free font sites. As I sell most of my recent work on MyFonts.com and Fonts.com I cannot risk that happening again.

I do feel bad that this is not in the true spirit of the FS community - but I try to contribute in other ways.
Comment by p2pnut 4th december 2013

@p2pnut I prefer the 1st Q.
