Beautiful characters. Impressive use of filters too.
Wow ... I really mean that ... WOW!! Can't wait for the next installment.
Beautful work will...look forward to more.
Thank you so much all for the encouragement! This heartens me aplenty in the face of drafting the uppercase. It has been said many times before regarding the challenge of creating blackletter majuscules, but this task in particular presents no small feat.
Hmm, actually quite the opposite. It is a very, very small feat. Even while leveraging 2x2 filters and brickstacking for maximum detail with these large smooth curves, I will need every trick in the book and then some to even begin to attempt an uppercase set. And how I dearly desire not to hide behind too many gimmicky flourishes...
Wish me luck. :^) Suggestions and critiques are always welcome additions to the party!
That may be the best 'a' on fontstruct yet.
Individually each letter stands on it's own, but collectively they really sing. The way the t notches in with the s and c are terrific. And don't get me started on that k...Great job Will.
Brilliant!
Also thanks for pointing to this, afro.
I have nothing really to add other then sincere praise for this goddamn, excellent font.
A mighty 10.
Very Tasty, Will. With a flavour reminiscent of Wolfkrim's Tension.
Great consistency in form and function throughout. Beautiful k. Great solution for the x. Good luck on the uppercase. I know the feeling of the lc being easier and being unsure of pulling off the caps, but if you can't do it, no one can. Can't wait to see it. ;-)
Makes me want to start to brew my own booze so I can label it with such a cool Blackletter.
excellence strikes again.
Congratulations! FontStruct Staff have deemed your FontStruction worthy of special mention. “jettletter” is now a Top Pick.
Thank you so much for the honor of selecting jettletter as your first top pick, afrojet! And congratulations on your new role here at fontstruct. Amazing, and apt decision on the part of fontstruct’s staff to appoint you to this role and I am not at all gloating to say I totally trust your sensibilities, passion, and community spirit regarding modular type design. Your tributes and contributions here have always been as inspiringly educational as they are stylish and well-executed. All these things put a smile on my face. : )
p.s. and your new user icon looks awesome – just so right.
I was hoping at least one of afrojet/geneus1/will.i.ૐ gets to be an honorary member of FS staff. Afrojet getting the full status is even better and well deserved. Congratulations, aj. :-)
*Blushing* Thanks for the vote of confidence and kind words my friends. The honor is all mine. Now, lets see that uppercase Will ;-)
A well deserved TP.
And a well deserved choice of Afrojet for the vacant Staff role :)
We can rest assured that Afrojet's good taste will continue the tradition of highlighting worthy work like this ... now, as the man says, where's that U/C?
Congratulations! FontStruct Staff have deemed your FontStruction worthy of special mention. “jettletter” is now a current Featured FontStruction.
Didn't get it to work..
Got rm_almanack_old to work but not this jettletter! all letters looks like something like this [F][F]..
@aeqproductions: I may have the solution to your problem with this font. Another FontStruct member had similar trouble with one of my fonts. I think it's because this one contains no uppercase glyphs, while mine had no lowercase (until today). There are some situations in which all missing characters are represented by the F from the FontStruct logo. Could that be what's happening to you?
@aeqproductions: fontcollector is right. Still just lowercase in the public release.
A few breakthroughs (which I look forward to sharing) have helped me crack some of the tougher glyphs, but I still have miles and miles to go. Indeed, I may need all your help to finish the set. Certainly, I will need your input and critiques to improve the final result.
Thank you all for your patience. :)
Thanks.
