a univers-like font inspired by the posters for the "haus der kunst" in munich. there's a "real™ font" called PUNKT™ that i discovered after re-designing this one in the linotype-library. PUNKT™ features lowercase only, numbers, punctation, some additional characters AND professional kerning! HAUS is a RE-DESIGN and differs in some glyphs from PUNKT™. I completed the set with small caps and small digits and developed text numbers. There are also some alternates and some "ligatures" to improve the metrics without kerning (use 'find and replace') enjoy!

Thanks a lot :)

I just love this font. Every time I see it in the gallery I get a smile on my face. It's so perfect in its pixelated form. Excellent!

That post i'll put in a picture frame.

Cloned! I just want to see it up close. I won't touch a pixel, I swear. Thanks. :)

This is a case study on why one should include a sample image. Completely different from the Fontstruct preview. Well crafted and highly usable, Guentersen. You've opened my eyes to this creation.
Comment by afrojet 25th september 2008
I did some improvements on the font and the sample :)
Comment by guentersen 29th september 2008
I finally got a chance to use this font in practice. :) It. will. be. printed.
Comment by thalamic 26th october 2008
I think this font is really underrated (and only 8 votes?), so I raised my rating! :)

@afrojet: I agree with you: the sample image tells the truth about this font!

@thalamic: I think we are all curious about the printing work that uses this font. What about posting a draft here?
Comment by Em42 27th october 2008
@Em42: The thing I designed is 'time sensitive'. It needs to be revealed only at the right moment. I'll post it then and you will see what I mean. :)
Comment by thalamic 27th october 2008
Thanks for all your comments!

@thalamic
I'm curious what time it'll be when you'll post it ... hope it won't get too long ;)
Comment by guentersen 28th october 2008
I can't say when I will get to post it. Could be next week, could be three weeks from now. Some other person is in complete control of it. Let's see...

Beautiful.

Thanks intaglio!
And thanks for voting! :)

Very well done, guentersen, a definite 10!

This is that thing I designed that uses this awesome font. The other two fonts used from FontStruct are Grid Fracture by tilogo and Otis Bold by nathancox. The large name font was something I had to do directly in Illustrator.

So...what do you think?
Comment by thalamic 31st october 2008
Ha ha, everything is clear now!

Congratulations to all the ones involved (and a special mention to the designer)! :)

Comment by Em42 31st october 2008
Hi thalamic,

congratulation and my best wishes to all of you!

It's unclear to me whether the see conference #4 used HAUS or PUNKT but I like what they did with the logo and the mouse interactivity.
