Details

Description:
This one started out quite different; a simple three-line font. While making an alternate B, the curlicue was introduced. A clone and many hours later, Etched was born. Later added borders and decorations when the sample called for it.
Then cloned the clone and stripped it bare...because DJNippa was going to ask for it, wasn't he!. :-)

Thanks, funk_king.
Thanks, Stewf. Nice to see you back.

@funk_king: The actual font is bolder. The sample gives a thinned-out example, by way of Photoshop Stroke filter (1px; Inside).

i like how you provided usage info in the description. i also think with such great samples that you and others create, that it would be nice to also know the techniques used to create to - like you mention about the filter in ps. what type of shadow effect did you use. it really works quite well and is very evocative. my blood pressure often rises when doing the simplest things in ps, so tricks and tips would be useful :)

Nothing complicated in this one, fk. There are two layers of text, top and bottom. The color in top one is white, yellow in the bottom. There's a 1px stroke filter on both, set to Inside, with the same color as background. Both have a B&W gradient filter, picked from the standard Metals gradients provided in PS; angled at 140°, and gradient opacity at 52%. That's all.

Ha ha, you know me well. :-)
I much prefer this version. It leaves it more open to creative variations when designing, rather than being limited. Therefore the usage is greatly increased.
Excellent stuff. Once again too many brilliant letters. 10/10

Wonderful. Looks like something that cat Minimum would do ;) It looks both ancient and futuristic at the same time.

Wow, it's hard to believe you could, but you outdid yourself. This is perfection. The trouble with posting positive comments is that it's hard to seem sincere when you want to be reeeally positive! A sampler sampler. Consider me double-wowed.
