Description:
Freestyle is not a usual font, as you see. The concept was inspired by the "How very Tokyo"-poster by Spin (I posted it in the comments). I liked the idea of cutting every letter into pieces so it looks artistic but is still readable. Freestyle consists of three parts: the whole letter at the top and in the middle/at the bottom there are parts of it, cut vertically. Upper- and Lowercase are different. Under construction, more glyphs to come. This can be used e.g. for posters or magazine layouts. What do you think about this experiment? < = alt.I > = alt.I * = alt.space # = alt.space

Cool... Would definitely make a very nice poster! I know the bauhaus-ish style is intended here, but maybe I'd still try to make K and R with complete diagonals, not just a cut out block. Or then just fill the counters anyway? (Same for U.) That wouldn't hurt the deconstruction concept, but maybe please the eye a bit more...:)
This btw reminds me of a typo experiment I did back at university:

Thanks guys! When I started creating this I didn´t know if it would work out, but it seems to function...
@Shasta: Yeah, I know that K and R are not perfect. I will try out a few alternate solutions later.
Nice typo experiment btw :-)

Very interesting and innovative. In the sample the words cut through the 'noise'

this is great, Sam!
I'm a fan of the tokio poster myself, and this fontstruction would make ReadyMade posters anytime.

Yesterday i used that quote as my FB status & it seems to have touched a lot of hearts. so in order to reveal my sources i'm going to screenshot your sample & credit you.
Hope you don´t mind me taking such liberties.
