Blackletter with a fat inline. A mix of traditional blackletter glyph, exploration and grid compromise. _________________________________ I'll complete the missing numbers and hopefully all diacritics.

Yes! Still we have an entry of inline blackletter. And what a beauty. It seems to be well within the 48 brick limit. Great work. 10/10

it's always a pleasure to read your comments, I do appreciate your work. Thank you very much

yes Architaraz only one entry, I had 2 or 3 ideas at the begining of this comp but this 'Fraline' took all my time.
I whis I could add more detail , it's a never ending project.

Do you think the e & f might work better if they were changed? Here are a couple of solutions:-
Comment by djnippa 10th february 2014
ha ha! your're absolutely right bout the e... I realy don't understand why I miss this one, probably I was to much in it, thank a lot for the cue Dj Nippa

f, I agree the original is a bit "too straight", I'll consider your suggestion.

I had a hard time the X, because I only use few angles, it was difficult to keep the design harmony and glyph weight with the rest of the alphabet. Any suggestion will be welcome
Comment by Michel Troy ~UrbanPixel~ (Upixel) 10th february 2014
My suggestions for X & L.
Comment by djnippa 10th february 2014
Whoops! I forgot this one.
Comment by djnippa 10th february 2014
WOW it's very generous from you DjNippa I Appreciate it.

I'm in the middle of a rush deadline I'm not as sharp as I wish. so to have a fresh look from a talented fontstructor like you it's a gift

Many thank :)

Congratulations on your 2nd place.
I was wondering could you post the name of the font that this, and the 'F' sample is based on. I do not have the 'Fraktur Mon Amour' book, and cannot find the rest of the font online. Much appreciated.
Comment by janking 18th february 2014
Wow thank you very much, It's a big surprise for me because there was a lot of great inline fonts in this competition. Congrats to everybody, participating is more important thant winning.
I'm really happy. thank to this competition, otherwise I would never had accomplish this blackletter the way it is design now. The inline comp force me to make my stem wider than my first draft and at the end of the process came out at my satisfaction.
this winning put pression on me to finish my numbers in Fraline :)

You'll be disapoint because this font is a total creation inspire by blackletter in general and FS restrictions. I do calligraphy for several years, and Fraline is more influenced by a personnal alphabet I draw with metal nibs.

This font is an adventure result of many uncontroled parameters. I set up the base with the design of my two first glyphs: o and m, after I decline the rest , but folowing:
>The inline competition force me to make the stem at 4 blocks wide to have a big inline in it.
>The grid and patterns of FS impose the major axis of the font, 45, 22,5 (one exception the X) . I did'nt want to complicate myself with complex angles composites.

This F was the last glyph created... it's the result of the grid constraint and axis used for the whole font, I wanted to replicate the spirit of F from FRAKTUR FETTE, which was ambitious even arrogant ;) I'm far away but I'm quite happy of this F.
If you find a F design close to this one let me know please.

I used your fantastic font for one of my fantasy football designs which competes in a uniform design league at http://uwfantasyfootballleague.com. It's just a bunch of guys doing this for fun. I used Fraline for the helmet script for my team the Greenville Pointers. Here is an example of the uniform in action! I also gave credit on one of our Google+ pages - https://plus.google.com/117581258486520772346/posts/7u2Dg4Rfev8

you made new blocks and add them to your list? I'm sorry, I'm just a novice at this, and you could help me.
Comment by herovblin 17th october 2015
Hello herovblin,
Yes you have to use composite bricks
you have to be in Expert mode, and click in the Menu / Pen type / Stack. you can stack as many bricks as you wish.

good luck and have fun :)
