What do you mean by "easy to read in a paragraph" ? I can smell the perfume of boring copies of arial- helvetica-bodoni etc in this fontout
Comment by Abneurone Fluid Types 10th june 2012
@abneurone // Then you have the right not to participate if you feel that way. I meant a font that looks good when in a paragraph. Sorry, I cannot tailor a sitewide competition to a single FSor's opinion. If you'd like to participate, we'd love it! :)

P.S. Good job on FO1!

I like it! What is that thing at the end of the sample?
Comment by demonics 10th june 2012
Thank you. This a graphic counterpoint to the text. This is an abstract image which can make you think to church stained glass, to chemical elements, to cells before dividing, to beehive bees constructions, to geometric painting... let your imagination flow... followed by a needle (or a thermometer ?) (actually an "l" in this font.

I like it a lot.

Do we make a new font for this? Or can we use a font that's been made before FontOut2? (I assume the former)
Comment by Houlaiziaa 11th june 2012
This is a little harder. I don't have any font designed for paragraph, instead designed for logos and big sized usage...

@neurone: Nice sample, dude :) From this we can conclude that a paragraph doesn't only can be filled with "boring" fonts, a "crazier" fonts can make a paragraph more interesting!
Comment by cablecomputer 11th june 2012
I agree that this didn't sound as interesting... Until AFT made it so!
Comment by V. Sarela (Yautja) 11th june 2012
@u126 // Either one. You choose.
@everyone else // Well, should I change it? I didn't want it to be another "design the most beautiful glyph", so any suggestions?
Comment by demonics 11th june 2012
@demonics : even I took the challenge! Let them some time before cancelling the fontout!
Comment by Abneurone Fluid Types 11th june 2012
All right… the challenge is still up!

Something I started sometime ago, just want to hear some opinions about legibility.

@architaraz: It's brilliant.

This FontOut was a flop. Sorry. I won't be able to FontStruct for the next week, so I can't do the next FontOut. I will attemp to hand the reins off to Yautja temporarily. If you don't want to Yautja then I will ask someone else. Yautja (along with Abneurone, cablecomputer and CMunk) helped me through the beginnings of FS Forum.
