A sudden stroke of inspiration made me do a pixel script font. Many of the letters connect through the bowl, and where it would be too cluttered, I have lifted the pen slightly, still hinting at a connection. The currency sign (¤) is a heart <3

I haven't even finished the upper case, but I was curious. Could someone from the Netherlands (or a speaker of Dutch) please tell me how my IJ should look. The first line is simply I followed by J, which looks awkward, because they don't connect; the second one is my ligature; and the third is a Y. What is easier to read? What is more elegant? What is more realistic?

Excellent pixel script!

In Dutch handwriting Y can represent both Y and IJ. The third line in your sample shows the correct approach. I have never come across the two other ways of doing it.

The above image is just to showcase some of my favourite characters: The Æ, Œ, ß, and D. Also, I like how the descender and ascender connect in the combination 'yf'.

After the discussion over at "Manuale Neue Bold", I have changed my polish diacritics a little :)

I always appreciate a fontstruction that has a character set longer than the sample text. :-) Beautiful piece of work! If I was designing it, I'd make the J in IJ drop below the baseline.
