this is tight. especially at pixel. least convincing...hum. i think neat trick of font sets is that although there may be a glyph that somehow could be more, the consistent appearance of that glyph somehow makes it work. no? that said, i would consider narrowing the width of the f. many times i just crop the arms and although it varies the spacing from other characters, it conforms a little better. just a suggestion. but nice once again :)

Aha! Somebody else who has trouble disciplining this wayward child, f! Among other things I was experimenting to see whether I could get the f to sit happily with his brothers without bothering with ligatures. Looking at the work this morning I can see the spacing is only partly successful, mostly because the width of the bowls and gaps in the glyphs is narrower than the inter-character space. Hmm.

Fontstruct is such fun. Having an enforced sabbatical has heightened my appreciation for it.
