Latin block is traced from Linux stock VGA8 font. Designed to fit 8x8 grid including spacing, so most symbols are 7x7 =WARNING= Line spacing is stuck and cannot be edited within FontStruct, you can edit it manually, see http://designwithfontforge.com/en-US/Line_Spacing.html for example.

@ahoge - I ran into the same problem: you can raise each character by 1 pixel to achieve a true 8x8 in FontStruct. (And your font isn't ugly!) :^)

Not ugly at all, but rather a very nice pixel serif.

Thanks for the suggestion but it did not work - as soon as a 8px high symbol is added (for example Q or j or ;) FontStruct adjusts height to have 1px spacing for a total of 9px.

Maybe you could use one single character to have a stray block (a bottom-half block on top of the letter) and nudge it so it becomes invisible. I think FS will still count that as a brick, and you won't have to do it again, because that one character will extend the vertical size of your font.

What I wanted was the opposite - most importantly to have "Box Drawing" symbols connect with each other.

Currently it only works as intended if application allows setting line height independently from font size (character height) or using negative spacing.

Example use in Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead game
