My best attempt at creating 3x3 font (no duplicates). The single-stored a is on the ɑ. (for dpla)

Hi, back! I'll include your "3x3 Pixel Font" to my long list, of course! Since 2013, dozens of 3x3 and 3x5-based sets (hundred in all) were submitted on FontStruct, and most are not as advanced/complete as yours. We still need something quite usable in 2017 (i.e. US-ASCII to begin with, like here). I could release my 3x3 (made in 2013) or before, but no… it includes smaller glyphs, which would spoil the smaller fonts, so much so that I still postpone the disclosure. Hundreds of -IMO- less usable small fonts, it's not this bad, in the meantime.

Then, it's too soon for me to check the US-ASCII validity of your present font/version (I still need to download all the related fontstructions etc.)… But I can already say it has a few interesting/fanciful pairs (e.g. "EF", "mn"), even several cases of monospace hack ("!"x" are 3 'secondary' duplicates, at least they prevent your design from gaining a proportional style [the double quote issue too], which is the saving goal of any tiny font); moreover, this cheating creates a visual duplicate in "c" vs. "(". Your set of numerics looks good ("3" and "4" [even "1" perhaps] might be too heavy in this set, though). Good trials, with too many accidents. E.g. the logical pair "ij" cannot justify ex-nihilo (but the added dots are an appreciated feature). Uneven glyphs (in the lowercase letters esp.) + split punctuations/symbols (and mono tricks only understood by the software) + too fancy choices (we'd need something more standard, over a personal pixel art, in communication) = fail. Good job, but useless to me, as is. I'll see if the other members shared your choices in the meantime. What is important is the usage, in the end.

• No duplicate at all finally? I'm sorry to disagree:
· c~( [listed there] – this hack is too poor, really!
· Besides in a more solid style, namely proportional:
` "!"=".'" and """="''" (+ "o" would be split, ~"ii")
• Of course, a round "a" would look like your "Q" :-)
• This lowercase is more close to a 2 x-height, fine!
• Your "ij" are definitely looking like a smiley! ;-)
• Most symbols are not quite legible (+ a huge comma)
• A great deal of glyphs is incoherent (e.g. "R"v"#")
• Still a rather good set of 3x3 numerics, I suppose…

All right, if it was your “best attempt” on May 2013!
