Nice work, you should just move the j to the left to avoid that large space (and maybe cut the end of the curve), and also the q looks like g now.

The 'q' could have the bowl look of the top of 'e' at the x-height, to avoid confusion g-q, or inverse 'G'? I hope you'll add basic punctuation and symbols. Pleasant oval design. 8/10 already.

Btw, the 'i' is perfect, flow and direction of the lines give personality. Brenda wants a shortened 'j'='i' ? That's too ordinary/predictable here and removes the spark of the designer's personality.
