Very nice font! :) 10/10
Not only your fonts are unique, but your samples too! I wonder can you re-do your fonts, if god forbit, you somehow deleted them?
We, the usuals, mostly create fonts that look like they should've been created with another software. But with you, it's vice-versa ;)
Thanks ! @architaraz : no, my fonts are much too complex and the glyphs much more linked by an "emotional" global esthetic than by a modular, regular system, to be "redone" just like that. And i also think that it is because as an artist i've never been a good "redoer", even for simple things, that i always develop works involving many different basic elements together. I had some hard issues in the past with damaged fontstructions, but as i often work in series in derivations, there's often also somewhere in my archives, some less achieved, or treated in a different way from the same basis to restart from, and generally going to something somehow different, that i take the challenge to be even better. After these issues i began to make more savings during the process and did 2 security clones for each important work.
I don't understand clearly your last sentence... Vice-versa from what ? What do you mean ?
It means that, I think, your fonts are harder to create using let's say Illustrator, Fontlab etc. Fontstruct is a perfect tool for your artistic style.
Yes, i still don't understand those who use FS to make fonts they could do easier and better with vector softwares. Mine are difficult ones but actually they're perfectly adapted to the Fontstructor philosophy, even if i guess Meek had never thought to this kind of neither modular nor vector-like approach when developing it.
"i still don't understand those who use FS to make fonts they could do easier and better with vector softwares."
I think that's because there aren't any good *free* font programs. They're usually too limited/hard to use, and the professional ones are too expensive. FS is perfect for me :)
@Yautja and Architaraz : I surely did not think to your works, whose modular, and very smart approach is also perfectly adapted to the Fontstructor.
Very cool font! I like the alien-ish style of all your fonts. And yes, it looks like it would be very time consuming, if not impossible, to make something this intricate on one of those professional font making programs. 10/10
@ETH : Thanks ! Even if i'm still out of the TP club here, i try to give more "respectability" to the Alien genre in typography, while it has'nt almost any.
A very even, handwritten flow despite the inherent rigidity of its forms. The sprightly, angular effect is reminiscent of the lively lettering found in mid-century advertising.
