This was my first font that messed around with composites, just figured I share it. I think I'll attempt to add every single character FS allows. Any advice for changes are welcome. Latin characters were specifically made so that they look as if they weren't, for instance, a symbol on top of a letter, but instead a completely separate character.

Definitely worth finishing. I don't like how low the J is, or the curved stem on the a, the non-stretched joins on the B and R, or the overdone f curve. I love the G, the g, and the A. Why not make diagonals on the K?

Sorry for all the critique. Anyway, right now, this font is 8/10. Great job! Finish the set!

I'm actually not sure what to do with the B and R. Is there a solution when you're using no filters with this few bricks?

Thanks for your review! The critique actually helped quite a bit. :D

Fixed all the ones you said you didn't like, and they do look better now. Also, I added another version of the g. Which do you prefer?
Comment by Echo (Rahi-Tak) 30th august 2012
Ah, no filters. Then no, you cannot fix the B R. I like the first g.

// Keep it up!

This could work better if you re-did it with 2:2 filters. Good job still. Beautiful g! (I prefer the first one too.)

I haven't done much with filters yet because they confuse me, lol.

Maybe I'll make a future font similar to this that uses filters, but IDK.

Deleting the second g since the first is preferred.

Thanks for your feedback!

@Rahi-Tak: I still haven't got round to using filters myself. I far prefer using composites and a larger scale (40/50 bricks high).

I've been working on a large-scale font like that! ;3

I honestly feel more comfortable in the niche I'm in right now, with composites and large scales like that.

Anyone have an opinion on whether or not I should attempt to do every single character possible in FS?
Comment by Echo (Rahi-Tak) 2nd september 2012
That's been attempted by minidonut. That font had upward of 5000 glyphs and was a simple pixel font.

I don't think it would be worth it, but if you decide to go ahead with it, good luck!

I tend to just do the More Latin plus the OE and oe ligatures for the fonts that I sell. I'm tempted to have a go at some of the non-Latin languages sometime - just for a change.

I like what you did with the J, but the T looks a little too much like a backwards J like that. Maybe if I simply lowered the letter width on the T it would look better?
Comment by Echo (Rahi-Tak) 2nd september 2012
Okay, I changed a few things.
1: I changed the J to what you suggested.
2: I changed the I so that it works better in all caps words such as "FIJI"
3. I changed T so that it lowers the spacing when at the beginning of a capital word like "Taro", but this also causes an interesting... feature? At the beginning and ends of the top part of the T, it touches the letters adjacent to it (when capital or taller)

Thanks for the feedback, guys! :D
