I'll get better spacing and more control over subtle things like increasing the bowl of the k, and adjusting the width of certain glyphs. And punctuation that doesn't look hideous.

There's also a glaring error in the basic "o" shape which I've only just seen. (It's my blind spot!) Doh!

What I lose, unfortunately, is that nice smooth half-round curve. I have yet to decide, am I going to fake a curve with the incremental bricks, or bite the bullet and use only 45deg angled ones... I'll have to see which looks better.
