Welcome to FontStruct! You thought a lot about the design and how to create the shapes, this is a well thought out first font. There are some aspects you could change slightly though, to get a more even look.

I think that the diagonals are a bit thick. Use the 3/4 corner with the 1/4 corner and back them with the 45° corner to make a line that looks as thick as a single brick. For steeper angles use the 67.5° brick which ends with a straight line half the width of a square, then top it with the long sharp point (its base is just 1/2 brick wide). You get an angle the width of the brick at the base but 2 bricks high.

I have cloned your FontStruction and made some alternatives for the letters I think could be changed. To help you see what I mean clone my clone and look at the letters. Using these might help you when you make your next fonts.

There are more possibilities you can explore; just assemble different bricks to make lines and angles; it's a good exercise if you want to continue FontStructing as you will discover the many possibilities and make exciting designs just using the bricks provided.

When you are comfortable and know your way around the FontStructor you will discover many additional possibilities to make your own bricks and shapes.

It is a very exciting hobby which for some members here has become a serious part for their business or an advanced aspect of an important hobby. Others FontStruct for the fun of creating fonts that nobody else has invented.

Don't hesitate to ask questions and take part in the forum; we all have started and have learned by looking, asking, discussing. We are a friendly group and always willing to advise and admire. Remember though that discussions/answers/questions might not be immediate as most members have jobs or school or college or a family during the day or the week, others may not always have a computer available.

Finally: keep FontStructing, you have an eye for shapes and could make exciting text and decorative fonts.

To Aeolien,

Thank you for your comment! I agree as well that the diagonal lines were to thick, therefore I have edited the font to your suggestions. As for making more fonts, I am brainstorming ideas for another. So, hopefully I will have it up soon.

Cheers!

For `help`using the commands within the FontStructor look here: http://fontstruct.com/help.  Somewhere there is a page with ideas of themes for fonts. I get inspired by things I see or hear that I find surprising, or I work on seasonal ideas or things my friends and family like, etcetc
