Although the Tandy Color Computer v2 used a MC6847T1 chip earlier versions of MAME got it wrong. This is the correct font as seen in the original data sheet and later corrected versions of MAME http://tlindner.macmess.org/?p=913

"custom modified from the standard font"? What chip is in the Tandy CoCo 2s? Or did it have an external ROM or something with alternate characters?

Yes, it would appear that the CoCo2 did use exactly the font I show here as per the data sheet.

What happened is earlier version of MAME emulated it with an incorrect font much like codeman38's version. More details over at http://tlindner.macmess.org/?p=913
