The gray sample looks totally professional. Uppercase T and lowercase d are gems. This is a wonderful addition to the group. watch out for my "BLACKBETTER" being finished/published soon!!! *the font i invested most time and effort in, yet!Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from SquarePeghttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3722http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3722Axel strikes again... Beautiful job!Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from saberriderhttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3725http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3725I know that blackletter typefaces are really hard to do or at least need a very good feel for balance. the white space and therefore the contrast of the typeface needs to adjusted very carefully. you succeded and did a great job. Great eye, Axel. It's really nice to see someone do so many different kinds of typefaces with such consistently good work. Well done, Axel.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from intagliohttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3733http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3733speechless.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from Axel Leyerhttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3748http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3748Wow...what can I say... Thanks for the comments! you´re so kind guys! @Kix: Can´t wait to see your Blackletter, I´m sure is going to be a top one ("most time and effort..." looking at Ariapenciroman I can´t imagine what you´re gonna show us but sure it will be a great one... :) @Thalamic: I always tried to do different kinds of typefaces because I think is the best way to understand the essence of typography, looking for that "thing" that is common in all typefaces is the best way to learn ...and if you do it playing...better. I think that anyboby can learn about nothing if you don´t enjoy doing it. :) Another time...thanks to all of you, is nice to have feedback, much appreciated. :)Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from aphoriahttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3768http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3768Excellent work, both the font and the sample. Out of curiosity, how much time do you put into a font like this and the sample? I'm just wondering how the time compares to how much time I've spent on mine.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from Axel Leyerhttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3776http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3776Hi Aphoria, It depends....but in this case I began to "fontstruct" 2 months ago...well...I really began to think about it and "draw" the first mental sketches earlier, so this was cooking in my mind more time ago. This period, of course, was not fulltime. About the samples, I don´t spend so much time, from 5 to 30 minutes (before this, during the creation process, I play with the typeface on a text editor to see how it works; then made the adjustments it needs or completelly rethink from the beginning). :) Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from geneus1http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3794http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/95099#3794There is a reason why I have attempted almost every style except Blackletter. It's hard for me, so I deeply respect those who create them. You've made this look so easy. I really vibe with wolfkrim's Texture, and eagerly await kix's Blackbetter, but the simplicity and legibility of this typeface in your samples are absolutely beautiful. Bravo!Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000
