And yeah, that ampersand is gorgeous. You must have sold your soul to the devil :)Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from shastahttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#10013http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#10013Thanks for your comments, glad you like it! I'm currently working on the more latin set. Most uppercase with accents are there now... @aphoria + kix: i'm a bit in love with the ampersand as well... the ampersand in general has made quite an impressive career in my personal love-to-do ranking, from one of the most hated to the top ten. this one here is probably my best so far... yay! @djnippa: I wasn't so sure about G myself... I somewhat liked it, but it didn't really fit into the otherwise pretty strictly consistent font. I've replaced it with a classic version now, hope you like that one better...:) cheers!
Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from afrojethttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#10169http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#10169Dig this a lot. The numerals are great. Two suggestions: 1) see if you can get eek out some more differentiation between the cap 'D' and 'O' and, 2) add some cap alternates with legs that extend beyond the baseline.
Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from shastahttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#10170http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#10170Great suggestions, afrojet... Thanks a lot! And glad you like the font... The D/O problem is again a classical example of my everlasting inner consistency vs readability conflict. Just couldn't convince myself to break the pattern as much as to make a really recognizable D... I guess I needed someone to tell me to do so... so thanks!:) As for the alternates, the big question for me always is: where do I put them? Should I just put them on an extended latin set? Again hurts my perfectionist's conscience... I think I should go and see a psychiatrist about that problem. Anyway, here are some suggestions for an alternative D. Democracy decides! ;)
Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from aphoriahttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#10178http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#10178I like the bottom D.Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from afrojethttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#10182http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#10182At times I fall into the same consistency over readability trap too. It's an easy trap to fall into with Fontstruct. While I like the sharp bottom angle of the first example, I'm not sure if you need to 'break' the glyph on the left side. If you don't want to muck-up this font with alternates, perhaps you could make a companion "Cupra Alternates" font. \m/ \m/
Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000Comment from gferreira_adminhttp://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#11939http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/199713#11939Congratulations!
