The simplicity of the design is striking and mesmerizing. The monospace nature make the design replete with design possibilities. The sample evokes Mayan influence as well as those QR codes. Maybe the T could have one block less on either side of the lower... uh...serif.

Seeing the B have a negative F makes me think that a whole set of negative space characters might also be a possibility. The G and the 6 are the same, BTW, but other than flowing the line in an awkward motion, I don't see what else could be done to differentiate them. As are Z and 2. But, aha!, maybe it was your intention to not differentiate them.

I can sense a great deal of fun was had creating this. :-) How about creating a set of patterns based on the characters and the square boundary?
